The Salvation Army is a nonprofit organization that seeks to show the love of Christ by extending a hand to those in need. The United Way of Oxford-Lafayette County funds the agency’s Utility Payment Assistance Program, which seeks to relieve the burden of non-housing costs for Lafayette County residents in need by assisting with electricity, water, waste management, and natural gas expenses. 

The agency seeks volunteers to help keep the store tidy and ring the bell during the Christmas season.
