North MS Exchange Family Center
The North Mississippi Exchange Family Center improves the quality of life for at-risk families by breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect through prevention, intervention, and educational services as well as replace abusive behavior with effective skills for responsible parenting in the areas of child abuse, teen pregnancy, and anger management.
United Way of Oxford-Lafayette County helps fund the Raising Mothers to Rise program, which aims to help teen mothers and reduce the number of future unplanned pregnancies, and its Oxford Diaper Bank, which provides diapers on the second Tuesday of each month from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m, with a goal of alleviating the financial stress associated with supplying basic needs to infants and toddlers as the program seeks to support its target audience of low-income Lafayette County residents. The agency previously received funding for its Give Care and Stop The Abuse Now (STAN) programs.
